Loving the zoo

I am thankful that the zoo wasn't too crowded today.

And of course, the kids remembered the time that we were here where we took a picture of them on these lions so they made sure we got another one of them on them.

And then they wanted one of me and my hubby on them lol!

Yes we looks like nerds, but that is ok with me. My kids thought it was great. =)

I am grateful for my love of animals.

A Trip to the Zoo

We decided to sneak in a trip to the zoo with my mom after the girls got out of school today.

I think these 3 were the most ferocious and rambunctious animals to be found there.

A lot of the animals had been moved inside for the winter.

And here is Little A's all favorite animal this time. She had so many questions about it and had a hard time moving on to look at the other creatures to be seen.

We stayed until the sun started to set......

....and even though we were bundled, we were still cold and were running out of energy.

So, one last stop before we headed home. I normally don't like using these things, but it sure warmed up our hands.

I am grateful for season passes....that way, if we are freezing I don't feel bad if we leave before we have seen everything.

Monkeys and Elephants and Giraffes! OH MY!

Photobucket

Since we will have access to a pool all summer and we don't have to pay for swim lessons there, I decided to use the money that we would have spent on those lessons on a family yearly membership to our local zoo.

We got through 2/3 of the zoo before my youngest decided that she had had enough....and it was nice to be able to leave and not worry about seeing everything to get our moneys worth (since we can come back when ever we want now!)

I am grateful that my 3 year old loves giraffes.....they are one of my favorite, too.
