Shoud of taken more time.

Photobucket

My kids have had rice pillows for a few years....and they all love them. They are on their last leg or have been lost, so I decided to make some new one for them for Valentines Day.

These are a little different in that they have a removeable cover that can be washed....and I added some lavender oil to them.

I am thankful that even though I made them at the last minute and rushed through them they still turned out ok.

Ours get a lot of use!

I'm intrigued. What do they use them for? I only use mine to heat up for sore muscles or my sinuses (sinus'?)

Great idea about lavender oil!

I don't know about Carrie, but my kids mostly use theirs to warm up their beds on chilly winter nights.

The kids love to sleep with them too. They use them just about everynight in the winter. And they are great for tummy aches, ear aches, and back aches (which are all common in my house).

I'm curious to know what you did to make them removable, slip stitches, velcro, snaps, zipper, buttons?

Its kinda like a pillow sham...where the fabric on the back over laps a little bit. Does that make sense?

An envelope pillowcase? :) That's what I make for all my outside pillows so I can change them for the seasons easily. It's the only thing I can sew quick and not mess up too much.
