Daddy Daughter Dinner Date

For Activity Days we have been planning a Daddy-Daughter Dinner Date Night and tonight was the night!

Our theme was a cruise..."The Love Boat"

There was shuffle board, dancing, awesome food, and a photo booth.
I was in charge of taking photos for the photo booth and helping to serve the food.

The girls all seemed to LOVE this special one on one time with their dad/grandfather/etc.

And the girls were super excited for it.....the activity before, you could hear them talking to each other about what fancy dress they were going to wear (there was nothing specific that they were asked to wear...they could wear jeans if they wanted) and if their mom would allow them to wear make-up to it. One dad brought his daughter a bouquet of flowers while another daddy/daughter couple had a corsage and boutonniere on.     

I am grateful that we were able to help these girls make some great memories with their dads.

General Conference

I was searching the internet for ideas on how to keep my kids interested in sitting and listening to all of General Conference and I came across this site that had a great idea.

Yes, it involves candy.....quite a bit of it actually.  But my kids (and even my hubby) paid real close attention to what was being said because they didn't want to miss a chance to snag a piece of candy or corn nuts.

In between the sessions we had fun playing games like chicken foot.

I am thankful that I was able to hear uplifting words today.

Busy Busy Busy

This has been quite a busy weekend. Yesterday was the baptism and today is the babe's blessing.

The blessing was beautiful.

We had some family there to support us and to be part of this day.

And I am grateful that she WASN'T dropped during the blessing.....she slipped and started to fall, but was caught.

And she didn't even make one single peep.

*phew*

Then after sacrament meeting we headed to my in-laws for a baptism/blessing little luncheon.

A day to remember

E has been so excited for this day. Especially since she gets to share it with her best buddy.

We are so proud of her for deciding to get baptized and become a member of the church. She had a smile on her face ALL day long.

Love that girl.

I am grateful that she was able to be baptized with 2 of her friends.....and one of them was her best bud. =)

Strawberry Shortcake

My oldest was asked to sing a song with some other girls for Relief Society. They did awesome and I am proud of all of them. As a 'thank you', they recieved little kits to put together their own little strawberry short cakes.

I am grateful for the Spirit that music can invite into our lives.
