Noel

My little kitty had a swollen face a few weeks ago so I took her into the vet to see what was going on.  They thought it was her teeth so they took the bad ones outs and sent her home.

Two weeks later her face is still swollen.

So I take her back in.

They see that some more teeth look bad so they take those out too.

They also took a tissue sample on the side of her face that was swollen.

Turns out she has facial cancer.

It makes me so sad.  She is my oldest 'kid.'  I've had her for over 13 years.

I don't know how much longer we will have her....she acts fine and is eating so it is just a waiting game now.

But I am going to spoil her this last little bit.

Even though she is an inside cat I've been letting her out everyday.  she never runs off....just stays by us and enjoys the sun.

It makes me so sad.  I think one of the hardest parts was trying to tell the kids what was going on.  I needed to tell them so they could prepare themselves for whats to come.

I am grateful that the sun was shining today so my kitty could enjoy it's warmth.
