Day 241

Weston was able to get the day off so we took advantage of the beautiful weather and headed to a lake (kind of sad that they are pretty much all man-made here). It was nice. The water was a little chilly, but the sand seemed to be as close to sand as you could get without being on an actual beach. Although I did notice that when it got wet it seemed to get muddy, we were still able to make some sand castles and Ashlyn had fun digging a really deep hole until she hit water or China (which ever came first). I love that kids don't care if they get sandy...it just adds to the fun for them. And since we figured that this would mark the end of summer for us, we had to end it with a snow cone. I am sad to see that summer is pretty much gone, but this was the perfect way to end it.
.
I am thankful that something as simple as a bucket and a shovel can entertain my kids for hours.

I like how you can see the mountains in the background. Fun.
