Day 36

Here are the 2 pics that I entered. I think most of you have seen them before. I was trying to go for more of originatlity than the classic nature/outdoor pictures.
Thank you, Arlene, for all of your help and encouragement.

Arlene talked me into entering the BYU Nature Photograpy Competition and Exhibition. I thought it over and thought it over and came to the conclusion 'What do I have to loose?' I don't know many people down that way so I thought that even if my pictures don't come close to the others I won't be embarrassed...... it is a professional and ametur competition. I was so nervous (I have never entered a contest before) when I had my pictures sent down to Arlene.....but once I did it I was proud of myself for being brave enough to do it. I don't care if I don't win anything and I am just glad that I did it. Oh, this is not one of the photos that I entered and, obviously, this picture was not taken today.

Yes, go see! I think the exhibit opens tomorrow! Your pictures were INCREDIBLE! I think I got your nerves once I picked them up! I was shaking & so excited when I got there, I pratically ran in to get them entered. haha I can't wait to go see them.

This picture is so pretty. Is it digital or film?

BYW, I still don't get why they have amateur and prof together! That seems so odd.

I'm glad you did it! That is awesome! How many photos did you enter?

Are you going down to the opening reception tonight? It says it's open to the general public and they will announce the winners. Wish I could be there!

That flower picture is digital.

I just realized that they pictures that I entered were taken with point and shoot camera! I will post them. I entered 2 photos. Even if I lived closer I would be to nervous/excited to go to the opening night where they announce the winners!
