Hail storm

When you have kids everything can be super exciting and fascinating. And I am grateful for that....for how even little tiny pieces of hail can bring out curiosity.

Nice

I couldn't believe how nice the weather has been the past couple of days.

We all want to spend the day outside soaking up the warmth.

I am thankful that the kids don't throw a fit when I tell them only 30 minutes of computer/electronics time.

Strange things

Photobucket
Don't know what is up with the weather here this year.

We've had a bunch of hail storms the past few days.

I felt bad for Baby RB today. I saw a storm was coming and asked her to run out back and grab a tarp that was getting blown away. She was about half way to it when the sky decided to literally dump hail on her. She kept on running, grabbed the tarp, and then headed back to the house. Before she got inside I could hear her saying 'ouch! ouch! ouch!' Poor girl!

I am thankful that it was pea sized hail.

Guess I shouldn't be TOO surprised

Photobucket
Seeing how it is the beginning of March, I guess I shouldn't be too surprised to wake up to this. I am thankful that we did have a few days with no snow so I could see my crocus poking through the ground.

Amazing

I really can't believe how nice it is outside today. I find it funny that as I am doing yard work I am thinking 'boy, I am getting hot'.....and it is only 45 degrees out! Lol! But with that sun shining it sure felt good!

Heres a pic of Little A trying to break a huge block of ice that I dumped out of my gardening bucket.

I was so excited (and grateful) to spy some bees flying around....maybe spring really is just around the corner!

Love that smell.

Photobucket

A nice little rain storm made it our way today. I think that there is almost nothing that smells better than the rain after a hot, dry month and I am grateful for that smell.

Hurricanes a comin'!

At least that is what it felt like....well, more like a tropical storm...well, ok, it probably didn't even hit that category. The winds were around 40 miles per hour with gust up to 70. We lost shingles on the roof. The patio table got broke. Numerous pots were broke into pieces. And branches and leaves were everywhere.

I am grateful that amidst all the crazy wind I was able to get the girls out to fly some very cheap and very smiple made-in-a-minute kites.

Hard to believe

Photobucket

I find it a little hard to believe that next week is the last week of school and the kids are still wearing sweaters and coats. It has been a very cool and wet spring.

I am grateful that the spring flowers will last a little bit longer with this cooler weather.

Really?

Photobucket

Went to a movie and when it was over we found this everywhere!

I am grateful that we have warm weather between these snow storms.

I didn't like your joke.

Photobucket

Mother Nature teased me today and I didn't really like her joke. After seeing these leaves starting to grow on one of my lilac bushes, I got really excited for warm weather....after all it seemed like it was going to be a beautiful day. But she decided to dump a bunch more snow on us.

Not fun at all for someone such as myself that seems to be super warm blooded.

But at the same time I am thankful for a glimpse of what is to come.

Sigh

Photobucket

On days like this don't want to do anything but lounge outside wearing my slippers. I am thankful that I had a good book to read while I was relaxing.

More of that yuck.

Photobucket

This picture tells it all. Cold and dreary today.

I am so very very grateful for my nice warm house.

A little bit of nature.

I really can't believe how cold it has been today....and tomorrow is not supposed to be any better. High of 16 degrees is forcasted. yuck. The kind of weather where your hair will freeze if it is wet when you go out side. Where you can feel your boogies freezing in your nose. Where my chickens would freeze if not for the heat lamp. double yuck.

Photobucket

I was very grateful that we had a flock of birds right at the door that thought it wasn't too cold to be out and about. They were munching on some chicken scratch that I had spilled the day before.

Nice hat.

The girls loved to wake up to SO MUCH snow....but I, on the other hand, tried to count how many more months till spring.

Photobucket

I am grateful I didn't freeze my little tooshie off taking this picture.

Right on schedule

The cold weather seems to be right on schedule. It seems that as soon as the first day of fall hit the colder temperatures were right behind it.

Photobucket

I am thankful that the snowline was still high up on the mountain.

Rain rain......um stay a little longer?

Photobucket

Last year I thought that it was a waste to buy the kids rainboots when we live in a state where it hardly ever rains. But with all the rain that we have gotten the past month I am very grateful that we have them! My kids just can't seem to stay away from water.
