Seriously

Some times I wonder about myself.

Well, I would like to introduce you to Inky. She, along with Playdoh Icecream and Vanilla Pudding, joined our family on Saturday. When we got them they were about 4 days old. So far we all love them and they are SO much fun and SO stinkin cute. This is something that I have always wanted to do.....am I crazy for doing this?

I am grateful for farm fresh eggs.

Dude...you are living my life! :D We got all set up for chickens and farm fresh eggs 2 summers ago and...nothing! I'm going to have Weston talk to Carl about satisfying his wife's farm dreams like he does! Love the chick!

We love my folk's chickens. Elise has named a few and a few of them are very tame. How fun for you.

Inky. Playdoh Icecream. And Vanilla Pudding....but Weston calls that one Vanilla Bean (Bean for short).

That's awesome. Do you keep them in your yard? We're not allowed to have them in our neighborhood.

Oh, what kind of chickens are they?

Are you crazy, Yes. but then you've always been crazy about animals--of any kind. As a kid you were the only one who was able to talk your Dad into pets. If I remember right, you've had Guinea Pigs, a Teddy Bear Hamster, two different kinds of turtles, assorted fish, two Ferrets, and a cat. A lot of them at the same time.

Right now the chicks are inside with a heat lamp until they get their big feathers. And then we will have a coop out back and let them roam around and eat all the nasty bugs and weeds out there.

oh and 2 of them are Americana Chickens (one is light and one is dark) and the other one is a Buff.

How do your kitties feel about them?

Sometimes they ignore them, sometimes they tease them, and other times they look like they want to pounce on them.
