Are you-a speakin enga-lish?
That is the first thought that I had when I pulled out the patterns for the girls halloween coustumes. It has been quite a long time since I have used a real-store bought pattern so it is taking me a little bit to understand it. When I bought most of the fabric (after calling my mom for lots of advice from the fabric store) and laid all 8 yards to the skirt of Ella's costume on the ground (I had to move all the furniture to make it fit in the room) and I thought to myself 'What in the world have I gotten myself into!!!!' AAAHHHHH!!!! I have never delt with SO much fabric at once! It is kind of scary!
I am grateful that I have a mom who made all of my halloween costumes....I thought that it was the coolest thing. Hopefully mine will turn out ok so my kids won't be mortified with my creations.

Good luck! I tried to make my costume last year. It was a disaster! 8 yards! What are you making?
