Day 211

After hearing a lot of squealing from the patio this morning I hear 'Mommy! Mommy! Look what we caught!' And this is what I found. A wee little lizzard in the hands of my 8yr old. Ella attempted to catch a big one and was startled when the tail broke off and the tail started flipping around on the ground. As I was taking this picture, all I could do was put on a brave face and hope that the little lizard wouldn't decide to jump on me. And I was so grossed out at the tail flipping around on the ground. What has happened to me!? I used to be the one running around catching them. We would dare each other to wear them as earrings. But now, no way! I won't even attempt to catch one, but I am trying my hardest not to show my girls that I am scared of them now. And I am grateful to see that they are having fun doing something that I used to do when I was their age.

It would be a cool picture, if it wasn't so gross!!!

I still love lizards. I can't figure out how you'd wear them as earrings.

I would rather have the lizards than the roaches. But I think I would be a little squeamish too.
I want to know how you would wear them as earrings too?

They bite your ears and don't let go!

That's what I was afraid of! I'm surprised my brothers never told me to try that!
