I found this recipe for some kind of chocolate peanut butter strudel and it looked so good in the book, so I got everything I needed to make it last week and finally got around to making it today. It was super easy to make and smelled so good as it was cooking and looked so good when it came out of the oven...... can you see where this is going? But, you guessed it, looks can be decieving. It was not even close to how I thought it would taste! It tasted kind of wierd and made my stomach a little bit upset. Ella seemed fine with it and Acadia ate some too (she really liked the chocolate-peanut butter chips). Ashlyn thought it was pretty gross! So I was pretty bumed when I was SO looking forward to something yummy tasting and something that is almost too good to eat. Oh, well. It seems that is just kind of how my day has been all day today.....things just keep backfiring and not turning out how I had planned or expected. Well, I guess there is always tomorrow to try and make a better day and just start fresh. I guess I should start with going to bed early tonight.....and then someday I may just have to make a few changes to this recipe, it could be so delicious with the right ingredients. But I am very grateful for things that are super yummy tasting!

Nothing is more disappointing than a recipe not working out or tasting good like we hoped. It looks and sounds delish.
It does look good and like a lot of work. Those chips disappointed me once. Fun journaling though!
