Water is wet

Photobucket

We helped my in-laws do some yard work today and then my hubby and I enjoyed a nice swim in their new pool. We both wanted to swim laps so we took turns playing with the little one in the water while the other one swam.

I am grateful that it is starting to warm up a little bit.

You can do it!

Photobucket

So far we have kept up to our goal. This was our second time going to the park and we went 2 times around the trail. Go girls! I am proud of them.

At our break at the playground, Ella was so determined to get all the way across those trapeze monkey bar things. She did it!

I am grateful for my health.

Saturday. In the Park.

Photobucket

I am grateful for goals. The girls and I have decided to go to the park every Saturday. The catch is that they have to ride/jog/walk on the trail. Even if they didn't really want to, they would have to because on the other side of the park is the playground. So we go half way around and then they get to play for 15 minutes or so till we do the other half of the trail. They didn't seem to mind. In fact they want to go around the trail 2 times next Saturday. A full lap around it = 1 mile.

That takes talent.

Photobucket

Exercising and eating carrots at the same time...now that takes talent. ;)

Maybe I should follow her example...except not both at the same time.

I am grateful that this photo motivates me to take better care of my body.

I did it!

I can't believe that I actually did it! I made it and I wasn't even the last one! Close to the last one, but not last! But I really didn't even care if I was last. I just wanted to finish. And I DID IT!

Photobucket

I am grateful for Courtney. I couldn't and would never have done it if it wasn't for her.

I ran my first marathon. It was the smallest one. A 5K.....if you are like me and have no idea how far that is, it is 3 miles. I didn't do any training. It was just a last minute decision and I am not a runner. In fact there was a lot of walking involved or else I would have never made it to the end. And that was my only goal......to finish.

And I DID IT. WE DID IT, Courtney and I! And we are SO proud of ourselves! It is funny how giddy we were and how good we felt about ourselves after the run. And we stunk if you go by where we placed (147th out of like 185 runners), but who cares, right?!

We did it, we finished. That's what matters.
