And so it continues

We lighted some fireworks for Pioneer Day tonight.....a day late. oh well.

I am thankful for a day of cupcakes and fireworks.

Oh and the girls asked again to sleep in the tent tonight. Before I went to bed, I went to bring the cat in and make sure the girls were all tucked in out there. I found Leo, put him in and then I turned around and I heard something and it looked like it could have been a really fat cat running towards me. I opened the door to go in and Leo ran out and we both almost got ran over by what I thought was a cat but was really a racoon. I scared it and it turned and booked it up to the chicken coop and then it decided to be brave and ran towards the fence near me to make an escape from the yard. wheew. I thought.

And then about 2 minutes later I hear something else in the yard and I see a skunk following the same path that the racoon took. Then I watched it fall off the retaining wall and wander over to the tent where the girls were snoozing and then back up into the yard.

What the....

Needless to say, I slept worse tonight than the last time they slept out there.
