Trail Chief

Photobucket

Went for a hike with my hubby, his dad, and my littlest one. We started out wanting to check out my trail (I am now a trail chief with the city's trail committy). I am excited and was anxious to see 'my' trail. But it was all snowed over and I wasn't about to try and hike it with a 3 year old. So we hiked the one right across the canyon from it since most of it was clear of snow. It was a perfect day and felt so good to be doing something outdoors.

I am grateful for my health.

Cool: trail chief! What does that mean you get to do?

I go to the city meeting once a month and I need to check on my trail probably about 3 times a year to make sure that it is still in good condition and if it needs any maintainance I let the commitee know and then we round up people (scout groups and such) to help do what needs to be done to it. I am excited.... my trail has an aquiduct on it that was built around when my city was settled. It is made out of wood and iron so not much of the actual wood part is still left, but what is is pretty cool to see! But then again I just love old stuff in general.
