Day 293

Today was the start of the soccer tournament. Before we left for it I asked Ashlyn if it was nice outside and she said yes, it is warm. So we headed out to the soccer game. Acadia and I luckily had sweatshirts on and Ella just had a long sleeve dress with leggings under it. So as soon as we get out of the car the first thing I hear from Ella is how cold she is. Man, that wind was blowin and it was really cold out! All I had with me was a 'neat sheet' (that is what the girls are wrapped in....and it is just a really thin water proof thing) and I found a couple of pairs of gloves in my car. My friend Lorraine had brought some blankets for us to us and Weston's sister, Megan, showed up and she had some blankets too. But we were still freezing! And poor poor Ashlyn. All she had on was the soccer outfit (shorts, shirt, cleats, shin guards, and socks.) When the ball wasn't near her she was huddling on the ground trying to stay warm. We ended up finding a jacket for her that was WAY to small....it was size 3T, but, hey, that is way better than nothing! I am thankful that they lost the game tonight because I don't have to spend another night out here in the freezing cold cheering her on! (I know that sounds mean.......I was miserable!)

I remember sitting out in the cold for Cody's soccer games. BRRRR! He got pneumonia the first year he played. (Not to scare you or anything.)
