Day 229

We were out drawing with chalk on the driveway to get some last minute ouside time before the storm rolled in and when I looked up I could see the first of the Tropical Storm Fay arriving. The picture doesn't show it well, but there was a defining line between the storm clouds and regular clouds.
The clouds of a hurricane or tropical storm always seem to look different to me than normal storm clouds. I don't know what it is, but they are always eerie looking. When I told the girls to look up at the clouds they were so freaked out! The clouds may look bad, but a tropical storm is nothing compared to a hurricane (and I am so grateful that this was not a hurricane)

Wow, your pictures look way cooler than mine. Of course, Fay isn't actually here yet. She's still stalled out over the ocean. That's never a good sign. Glad you guys were safe. Our area is getting sand bags ready for whoever needs them. That's never a good sign, either. Good thing I live up on top of a hill!

Wow! That makes me want to grab Tug. (like Toto) I loved hurricanes when I was a kid. Now...not so much!

Holy Cow! That is really scary looking. It looks like the 'Nothing" is coming.

The Nothing. Isn't that from the Never Ending Story? That's cool that you thought of that.

I've seen those clouds once... when we were in savannah... we went before a Hurricane was supposed to hit. Those clouds really were creepy... I kept thinking a Shark was gonna come get me... Those clouds really set a tone don't they.
