Day 144

Today was a great day. I got to go a house which seems like a get-away from the world with the feel of being in the country and cute decorations hidden throughout the yard and garden. And we got to be spend time with family. It was so nice! We also stopped by my dad's grave and got to see the headstone and leave some flowers in honor of him. I was so worried about how emotional it was going to be....but since there was a huge group of people there who were laughing and being really loud it was a little easier to keep control of my emotions (I wanted to say thanks, but at the same time wanted to tell them to go away). Ashlyn had a harder time than I did and seeing her cry made me cry. But I am so thankful that we were able to go visit and to see the headstone in place and I am thankful for all of those who protect and serve our country.

It sounds like a good day. The flag picture is beautiful. I am also glad you included a picture of Dad's grave. It makes me happy to see so many flowers there.

I put one small pot for each of us kids and one for mom. The other 4 big ones were there when I went.
