Day 75

We woke up this morning to find a trail of gold (chocolate) coins in the bedrooms. Ashlyn searched the house to see if the Leprachauns left anyting else or caused any mischief. She didn't find any until I started to make breakfast for them. We usually only have cereal to eat, but I decided to make some scrambled eggs today. And they 'magically' turned green as I cooked them. And then the girls discovered that their milk was green..... Ella was pretty grossed out by it and so was Weston. They were so excited for the day. Ashlyn wore all the green clothes that she had (pants, shirt, socks, hair things, and even some green nail polish). For dinner we had green jello, chicken alfredo (but weston would not let me turn it green), green french bread, and green donuts (which looked pretty gross). But the kids loved it. I have never been much of a fan of St. Patricks day, but one year I went all out with the prainks that the Leprauchuan did around the house and ever since Ashlyn always talks about it so I try to do something every year since she loved it so much. One year she asked Weston why the Leprauchaun didn't leave him any gold coins and he told her that he had caught the Leprachaun once and made it dance and dance and dance and so he didn't like Weston anymore and wouldn't leave him any more gold coins. One of these days all these little stories that we make up are going to come back and bite us.

No. Weston brought those home from work as a treat for the girls.
