Photobucket

It had been pouring all night and I was woken up around 3 this morning to a bright flash and a loud bang...and then the power went out. Since it was still out after the older 2 went to school and it was starting to get a little chilly in the house, Acadia and I headed down stairs and started a fire to stay warm. We read books and ate strawberries and watched the electric company workers going up and down our street trying to fix the problem. (and we saw a couple more flashes and a few more bangs) I am thankful for those that have the knowledge of how to fix these problems.

*note: it was the neighbors transformer on the power line that kept blowing. The Saturday before the power had gone out too, but that was from a racoon that had got himself fried.

Cool picture. I am having a hard time picturing it getting chilly during this time of year, though!

Poor little raccoon.
