I looked out the back window...

...and this is what I saw.

The mountain behind us on fire.

Well, it wasn't directly behind my house but it could still be seen from the backyard.

I think that it was a block or two north of us.

These next two photos were NOT taken by me.  They were taken by some of my neighbors.

The blue arrow in the one below is pointing to my front door.

Yeah.

The kids and I are a little freaked and my husband is not home.  =/
