Bubble Painting

We decided to try a new way to paint today. I think that it would have looked better if copier/printer paper was used, but we didn't have any so we used light colored construction paper.

So what you need is bubble solution, temper paints (washable kind is good), a pie pan or bread pan, and a straw. (oh if little ones are doing the craft it might be a good idea to add a small hole about halfway up the straw to help stop them from getting a mouth full of the bubble/paint stuff) Oh and don't forget to cover your work area with newspaper because this is kind of a messy craft.

First put 1 cup of bubble solution and a 1/2 cup of temper paint in your pan. Stir until blended together.

Now get your straw and blow.

And blow some more.

Keep on blowing!

When your bubbles are about ready to overflow take your paper and slowly place it on top of your bubbles (they will pop as you are doing this) and then lift it off.

Your bubbles will leave prints on your paper. Ours didn't work to well but I think that is due to us using construction paper.

I am thankful that the kids didn't get tired of blowing.....in fact, towards the end they just wanted to see how big their bubble pile could get or how big of a bubble they could blow in it.
